High-Viscosity Lost Circulation Pill

InstanSeal pill is a novel approach to cure your lost-circulation problems. It consists of a single fluid that rapidly generates a high-viscosity gel downhole when it is sheared through the bit nozzles.

This gelling mechanism ensures accurate placement at the loss zones and has a higher success ratio than pills set by downhole temperature or by downhole fluid interaction.

Gel setting times are easily controlled from a few seconds to an hour by adjusting additive concentration on surface and by optimizing pumping rates.

InstanSeal fluid is pumped through the bottomhole assembly (BHA) right in front of the loss zone, saving tripping time.

After placement, the set gel is stable for several weeks under downhole conditions, allowing enough time to drill the section and complete it.

If you plan to drill through known lost circulation zones, InstanSeal fluid can be prepared days in advance and pumped when needed.
