Mid- 1980s	Thomas Tools was instrumental in developing high-torque (HT) connections and was the first tool rental company to introduce HT drillpipe commercially
1994	Developed and patented retrievable MWD tool
	Started Thomas MWD division
	Merged with W-H Energy Services, Inc.
1995	Opened Victoria, Texas location
1998	Opened Thomas Tubing Specialists division
	First tool rental company to introduce XT eXtreme torque drillpipe
1999	Thomas MWD merged with PathFinder Energy Services
2000	Opened Corpus Christi, Texas location
2002	Added Thomas Tubing Specialists Inspection division
2007	Opened Rock Springs, Wyoming location
2008	Merged with Smith International
2010	Opened Williston, North Dakota location
	Joined Schlumberger as part of the merger with Smith International
