RESINEX II

Overview Library

Filtration agent for low-chloride muds

RESINEX II resin lignite is a filtration agent and rheological stabilizing additive. It is effective in all water‐base drilling fluids with chlorides below 70,000 mg/L and hardness not exceeding 3,000 mg/L. RESINEX II resin lignite will reduce high‐temperature fluid loss and stabilize the muds at downhole conditions. RESINEX II filtration agent also improves borehole stability.

RESINEX II resin lignite should be used to reduce and maintain low fluid loss in all water‐base systems at all densities, and will improve the performance of water‐base drilling fluids. RESINEX II additive will not increase viscosity, but will stabilize the fluid at increased bottomhole conditions while controlling high‐temperature, high‐pressure filtration rates. RESINEX II additive is useful to assist in controlling shale stability and hole washout.

Advantages

  • Bottomhole temperature stabilizer
  • Controls fluid loss in basically all water‐base drilling fluids
  • Controls shale stability
  • Does not increase rheology
