First system for removing pungent odor for thermally recovered oil, water
We developed the FLUID OXIDIZER (FOx) system to remove pungent odors from thermally recovered oil and water. This simple process solution is applicable to all three Thermal Desorption technologies. The FLUID OXIDIZER FOx system improves the oil properties of recovered diesel oil. Consequently, it either can be recycled in the mud or reused as fuel for the thermal unit.
The FLUID OXIDIZER system is based on ozone treatment of both oil and water. It is an effective method of removing odors caused by thermal cracking and degradation of oil and chemical additives
The FOx system is the first method developed to reduce odor without any handling and waste generation. It is available for land projects and is being configured for offshore use.
