SLB has been active in the region for decades, with over 50 years in Guyana, 90 years in Trinidad and Tobago, and 20 years in Suriname. We align with national priorities to strengthen the energy sector, support customer needs, develop local talent, establish local supply chains, support education, and foster local expertise.
Sustainability is embedded in our strategy. We are driving energy innovation to help meet global energy demand while reducing our scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
In-country operations examples:
- Trinidad and Tobago: Leading decarbonization efforts with Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects using CO2.
- Guyana: Ensuring safe, environmentally responsible development that align with national goals.
- Suriname: Transitioning to cloud-based systems with the Staatsolie National Data Repository for secure and efficient data management.
