Eclipse Core Simulator
Multicomponent reservoir fluid description for compositional changes associated with depth, condensates, or volatile crude oils, gas injection programs, and secondary recovery studies
Refine the simulation grid in areas needing extra detail, or remove grid cells from unimportant areas
The Local Grid Refinement (LGR) option allows enhanced grid definition in areas needing a higher level of simulation accuracy, such as near wells or in areas of complex geology.
Grid coarsening may be used to amalgamate cells in regions of the reservoir which are less important to speed up simulation run times.
The Eclipse simulator enables users to easily simulate any field development strategy and can allow extensibility for coupling to external simulators.
Every well (or group of wells) in the Eclipse simulation can have production / injection rates and pressure targets. In addition, dedicated models support gas field operations, gas lift optimization, surface networks and reservoir coupling.
Local grid refinements may be 2D radial, 3D radial, or 3D Cartesian, and the local models may have more layers than the global model. The properties of the cells in the local grid can be inherited from the global grid or specified explicitly. Transmissibilities between the local model and the global model are computed automatically by the Eclipse simulator.
NExT offers a comprehensive training program to support users of the SLB software, plugins, and other software products.
