Identify well leaks and flow events with high-fidelity noise detection

The high-fidelity noise detection (HFND) tool uses broadband hydrophone technology and high-resolution temperature logging to detect wellbore leaks in a wide range of applications, including production, injection, fluid flow, or completion evaluation. The HFND tool captures both short- and full-bandwidth waveforms—sending continuous, real-time spectrogram images to the surface while storing up to 16 GB of high-definition data that can be used for advanced data interpretation.

The leak-detection tool is fully combinable with production logging services and can be conveyed on wireline, DSL™ digital slickline cable, slickline, coiled tubing, or fiber-optic cable in cased-hole wells.

  • Casing and tubing leak detection
  • Surface and near-wellhead surveillance
  • Production logging
  • Injection logging
  • Annular flow detection
  • Multistage fracturing completion evaluation

The HFND tool’s real-time surface readout, combined with its high-capacity memory storage, enables you to ensure well integrity by quickly identifying leak or flow events and guiding your data acquisition program without sacrificing the higher-resolution measurements required for further, more detailed evaluation.

  • 8- to 60,000-Hz waveform acquisition
  • Multiplatform conveyance
  • Production logging compatibility
  • Real-time surface readout
  • 16-GB memory archive
  • 200- to 900-ft/h logging speed
