The flow-activated safety valve (FASV) of Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools is a cost‑effective insert safety device to run below any suitable lock mandrel or nippleless retrievable bridge plug of the SIM™ sealing integrity management system.

  • Streamlined deployment on slickline
  • Compatibility below any lock mandrel or SIM system retrievable bridge plugs
  • Safer, nitrogen-free operation
  • Optimized flow path for less turbulence
  • Carbide choke design
  • Threaded connections to suit most applications
  • All surfaces treated to 55 Rockwell C hardness to resist erosion
  • Metal-to-metal flapper seal
  • Integral equalizing device

The FASV is deployed with the flapper valve in the open position, and the valve closes once the velocity of produced fluids across the internal choke exceeds a predetermined value defined by the choke size. Chokes are supplied in 164‑in increments to suit customer requirements. The FASV has an integral device to enable quicker and safer equalization across the closed flapper when no pump or pressure facility is available at the wellhead.
