Prevents expensive workovers

The integral gas lift valve (GLV) straddle of the Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools incorporates a gas lift choke sub or connector that is run with the SIM™ sealing integrity management system to provide controlled gas flow from the gas zone behind the straddled interval. The integral GLV straddle helps prevent the need for an expensive workover by providing a fully slickline-deployed solution.

  • Controlled gas flow from straddled gas zones
  • Long-reach wells, at the sandface
  • Depleted reservoirs
  • Completely slickline-deployed solution to prevent workovers
  • Fully retrievable system can be recovered to restore well access below if required
  • Deployed and retrieved on slickline
  • Incorporated within the SIM sealing integrity management system
  • Stackable straddle tubes in 5-ft, 7½-ft, and 10-ft lengths with a selective release mechanism
  • Slip-designed to ensure stresses exerted on the tubing are evenly distributed to prevent damage

Enables easy resizing

Deployed on slickline, the Peak Family integral GLV straddle choke can be resized by recovering the upper straddle tube, if required. The GLV can be changed simply by pulling the top plug complete with the gas lift mandrel assembly. The new top plug, complete with gas lift mandrel assembly, is then set into the straddle seal receptacle fish neck and tested.
