Customizable deep-set barrier below a tubing break

The tubing alignment tool of Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools realigns and creates a conduit across parted tubing, enabling remedial work to be conducted below a tubing break. Instead of creating a pressure seal, the tool enables the placement of a deep-set barrier below the tubing break. This prepares the well prior to further remedial intervention.

Deployed and installed by slickline, the tubing alignment tool will pass through most standard tubing-retrievable, surface-controlled subsurface safety valve (TRSCSSV) nipples. It can be supplied with various options for landing-off in the upper section of tubing, and locking and no-go fingers can be included for added retention. If required, the tool is recovered to the surface using a standard pulling tool.

  • Flexible design enables easy in-field setup once the length of the tubing gap is ascertained
  • Tool design is customizable to individual applications, dependent on location and nature of the tubing break
  • Tailor-made solutions for all tubing sizes are available
  • Maximum throughbore to enable the passage of a deep-set plug on slickline or wireline
