Case Study VERSAPRO System Maintains Clean, Uniform Filtercake and Minimizes Formation Damage Offshore Gabon
Invert-emulsion and filtercake breaker systems restrict filtercake contamination and prevent pay zone damage in the Gonelle field.
Low-solids oil-based reservoir drill-in fluid
VERSAPRO LS fluid is a low-solids invert emulsion version of the VERSAPRO invert-emulsion reservoir drill-in fluid (RDF) system. VERSAPRO LS fluid employs brines such as CaCl2, CaBr2, NaBr, KCOOH, and CeCOOH as the internal phase for density. Chemically stable with superb lubricity, VERSAPRO LS fluid is ideal as an RDF for high-temperature drilling environments.
As an RDF or completion fluid, or as a displacement for screen running or perforating pill, the VERSAPRO LS fluid works efficiently in both cased hole and openhole completions where oil-based fluid is required for drilling. As a cased hole perforation pill, it minimizes the threat of solids plugging the perforation tunnels while preventing losses to the reservoir. In openhole completions, it is ideal as a low-solids fluid-loss-control pill to be left in the productive section prior to running the completion assembly.
