Hydraulic fracturing tubing spool provides fullbore access
Fully rated tubing spools provide an alternative to the use of bore isolation tools. When fullbore access is required, we can provide a fullbore extension of the standard completion tubing equipment (SCTE). The Cameron FBCTE is a hydraulic fracturing tubing spool that contains a set of Type E lockscrew assemblies to provide the initial landing shoulder and retain the tubing hanger.
The FBCTE allows use of small-bore valves during fracturing and flowback operations, reducing cost and height and facilitating handling. It is available in 4 1/16- and 5 1/8-in nominal sizes up to 15,000-psi working pressure, with full opening to both 4 1/2- and 5 1/2-in casing.
The FBCTE has the ability to set a 5-in backpressure valve (BPV) that provides a barrier during the transition from fracturing to production without having to replace the frac tree with a production tree and change the spool.
