Isolation Valve Cleanup Subs
Remove debris above ball-type isolation valves
Clean up isolation valves with jetting or circulation subs to reduce the risk that debris will hinder valve operation.
Flapper-seal tubing isolation valve
The valve is opened using a modified version of the Trip Saver one-time remote-opening mechanism. By eliminating six or seven intervention runs, the TIVF valve saves significant completion time, which is especially beneficial in horizontal wells, where intervention with wireline or coiled tubing adds considerable risks and costs.
As a contingency, the valve can also be operated with a mechanical shifting tool run on the end of a workstring or coiled tubing string.
