QUANTUM
Gravel-pack packer for sand control
Save rig time with a single-trip sand control solution for single- and multizone completions.
Cased hole gravel- and frac-pack service
The most practical choice for single-zone completions is often the conventional PerfPac cased hole gravel- and frac-pack service. Optimized for your well and environment, the service uses sequential trips to run the sump packer, perforate, deploy the screen and gravel-pack assembly, and then deliver the pumping service. Software-aided treatment design, execution, and evaluation and fines migration prevention techniques maximize success.
For most wells, the service will rely on the QUANTUM gravel-pack packer, but in extreme conditions, the QUANTUM MAX system may be used instead. These robust systems can also be combined with Alternate Path technology when reservoir or wellbore complexity limit the ability to fully pack the annulus. Alternate Path technology includes screens with shunt tubes and nozzles to bypass bridges and fill in voids.
The PerfPac service can be used with many engineered fluids to optimize gravel transport and limit or eliminate formation damage. For example, the service can use brines for gravel packs and high-rate water packs (which create small fractures to bypass near-wellbore damage, followed by gravel packing). Alternatively, the well or reservoir conditions may require a different selection from our full array of viscosified fluids, including conventional polymers to polymer-free viscoelastic fluids for gravel and frac packing.
Stacked completions consist of a series of single zones treated separately in multiple trips. The first zone can be completed using our single-trip perforating and gravel- and frac-packing system to enhance efficiency by reducing operating time.
