High-Fidelity Noise Detection Tool
Detect leaks and fluid movement in production or injection wells
Capture short- and full-bandwidth waveforms to detect leaks while capturing detailed formation data.
Horizontal and deviated well production logging system
The Flow Scanner system serves as a caliper in the wellbore, providing the area measurements needed to calculate flow rates. Five miniature spinners measure fluid velocity while electrical and optical probes measure localized water and gas holdups along with flow properties on the lower side of the wellbore. This design enables the system to measure velocity variations that cannot be detected using a single, centered spinner.
The Flow Scanner system can measure mixed and segregated flow regimes, including direct independent measurement of gas velocity in multiphase horizontal wells. The system detects water using six low-frequency probes that measure fluid impedance, and the resulting profile accurately represents the flow regime in the wellbore.
Gas detection is facilitated by six GHOST™ gas holdup optical sensor tools that are sensitive to the fluid optical refractive index. Optical probes enable a local gas holdup measurement without requiring calibration because their signals are binary. Together, the optical and electrical probes deliver a full three-phase holdup answer from the same depth interval.
