Live fluid analyzer
Analyze formation fluid as samples are flowed to the MDT tester to capture single-phase samples and differentiate oil types.
Composition fluid analyzer
As single-phase reservoir fluids flow through the CFA analyzer, optical absorption spectrometry of visible and near-infrared light determines concentrations in the gas phase in real time:
This compositional information also gives you the condensate yield, or gas/condensate ratio (CGR), which is the inverse of the GOR. Simultaneous measurement of fluorescence emission identifies the fluid type and ensures that samples are single phase, acquired above the gas condensate dewpoint.
If gas identified on logs as hydrocarbon is actually primarily CO2, the value of the reservoir fluid is reduced. High CO2 concentrations have the potential to render production uneconomical owing to the cost of treatment and safety measures.
The CFA analyzer measures the CO2 weight-percent concentration, mitigating the potential for misinterpretation of log data.
