RHADIANT
Oil-based ultrahigh-temperature drilling fluid system
Maintain stability throughout the construction and evaluation of ultrahigh-temperature wells.
High-temperature emulsifier
MUL XT emulsifier provides excellent emulsion stability, preferential wetting of solids by the continuous phase, filtration control, and overall system stability. MUL XT emulsifier is effective over a wide range of temperatures from low temperature to extreme temperatures.

MUL XT emulsifier can be used as the primary emulsifier in all NAF systems to provide low viscosity stable emulsions and excellent oil wetting at extreme temperatures and in NAF with high water content. MUL XT emulsifier contributes to High Temperature High Pressure (HTHP) filtration control and temperature stability of the system.
Initial system formulations typically require 8 to 12 lb/bbl [22.8 to 34.2 kg/m3] depending on the desired properties, oil/water ratio and other components in the system. Daily treatments are usually in the range of 0.1 to 1 lbm/bbl [0.3 to 2.9 kg/m3].
For extreme HTHP applications—above 500 degF [260 degC] and 16 ppg [1.9 specific gravity—MUL XT emulsifier concentrations of up to 25 lbm/bbl [71.5 kg/m3] may be required and 1 to 3 lbm/bbl [2.8 to 8.5 kg/m3] of SUREWET RHELIANT system invert-emulsion system surfactant may be required as a supplementary wetting agent.
Bioassay information is available upon request. Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing personal protective equipment and observing the precautions described in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
MUL XT emulsifier is packaged in a 55-galUS [208-L] drum and in 257-galUS [1,000-L] totes. Store in a dry well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flames. Store away from incompatibles. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping, and stacking.
