Scribe-ridged diamond element
The latest member of the Axe™ ridged diamond element family, the Axe SR™ scribe-ridged diamond element makes drill bits last long and increases ROP performance..
The Axe SR element adds a scribe shape to the ridged design. It combines the cutting action of a regular PDC cutter with the crushing action of a tungsten carbide insert, resulting in at least 22% deeper penetration and higher drilling speed. When placed in the cone of the bit, it requires less WOB and rotation speed than traditional PDC cutters.
Our ridged diamond elements are compatible with any BHA configuration. Bits using the Axe ridged diamond element family improve ROP in medium to hard formations with unconfined compressive strength (UCS) greater than 5,000&nbsh3p;psi [35 MPa].
