Rider winch

The Cameron rider winch is hydraulically operated and bolted to a foundation on the deck. The winch unit consists of a welded frame with two side plates, which hold the motor containing the brake as well as the parking brake. The rotating drum is supported by the motor and the brake. The drum has a spiral groove system that enables efficient wire spooling and only uses one layer. The unit also has an automatic spooling device, which guides the rope smoothly onto the drum while hoisting and lowering.
