Cleanly sever heavy-duty cables in challenging applications

The Heavy-Duty eCutter™ electronically activated nonexplosive wireline cutter extends the range of the eCutter cutter to provide precise cuts on heavy-duty cables when a toolstring becomes stuck downhole. The Heavy-Duty eCutter wireline cutter cleanly severs larger openhole cables and other heavy-duty cables ranging from 0.3125 in to 0.59 in—even in the industry’s most challenging well conditions.

  • Wells at any deviation
  • Complex geometry wells
  • Pumpdown deployment
  • High-viscosity fluids
  • High-temperature operations
  • Sour wells

The Heavy-Duty eCutter wireline cutter leverages a patented mechanical actuator and electronic timer and trigger module to deliver safer, more precise cable cutting for stuck-toolstring events.

  • Patented mechanical actuator
  • Preprogrammed and customizable countdowns
  • Electronic timer and trigger module
  • Robust blades and gripping system
  • Rated to 350 degF [177 degC]
  • Remote power capabilities
  • Full range of pumpdown and roller accessories

The Heavy-Duty eCutter wireline cutter is activated by an electronic timer and trigger module. Preprogrammed countdown times and optional custom programming capabilities support target depth and activation assurance. The cutting action is driven by a patented mechanical actuator with the timer and trigger module powered by a small onboard lithium battery.

The integral nonpyrotechnic power charge eliminates the requirement for radio-frequency silence during operations.
