The accelerator of Peak Family™ flow control and well intervention tools, combined with the Peak Family power jar, provides highly controlled impact force to ensure sufficient tool stroke for fishing operations.

Wire stretch can become limited due to wellbore contact, wire length, or cable characteristics. The Peak Family accelerator is designed to improve jar impact performance by simulating wire stretch when working at shallow depths, in deviated or tortuous wellbores, or with braided line.

Accelerate the toolstring using stored energy

The accelerator is positioned below the rope socket, swivel, or both. Any applied upward tension compresses the Belleville spring washers, providing a source of stored energy for the power jar.

As the jar fires, the stored energy accelerates the toolstring, increasing impact on the fish to be recovered.
