Performance-driven design and efficiency

The NATCO SHV Combustor internal-burner emission control system meets the increasing demand for higher destruction efficiency of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. Currently operating flare systems typically have destruction efficiencies up to 98%. The NATCO SHV Combustor system uses a low flame and a wide-open external combustor area to achieve higher combustion efficiencies. With increasingly stringent environmental regulations, this system is the ideal solution because it burns off all the emissions.

The system is designed primarily to control off-gases from glycol dehydration facilities, but it can be applied to any oil and gas processing facility that needs increased control of vapor emissions.

Eliminate VOC emissions while reducing capex and opex

  • System achieves >99.9% destruction efficiency for all VOCs.
  • Patented internal-burner venturi design requires less fuel gas, provides greater VOC combustion (destruction) efficiency, and delivers a reduced glycol reflux column backpressure.
  • External superheater (stack heat exchanger) reduces liquid accumulation and disposal, improves clean burn and water vaporization, and operates in cold weather without freezing.
  • Natural draft design has no blowers, reducing utilities consumption.
  • Insulating air flow does not require a refractory and needs less maintenance.
  • Adjustable air dampers increase operability and operating range and eliminate the need for blowers.
