The annual Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Spotlight on New Technology Awards recognizes innovative technologies in offshore exploration and production. Both hardware and software technologies are considered for the awards based on the following key criteria: new, innovative, proven, broad interest, and significant impact.

Two technologies from OneSubsea are named as 2016 OTC Spotlight on New Technology Award winners:

HyFleX Subsea Tree System

The HyFleX subsea tree system provides benefits of both vertical and horizontal conventional tree technology. Designed so the tubing hanger and tree can be installed and recovered independently of each other, it provides operational flexibility and the ability to batch set wells. This flexible configuration offers savings from both a CAPEX and OPEX perspective.

AquaWatcher Water Analysis Sensor

The AquaWatcher water analysis sensor has the unique capability to detect minuscule quantities of H₂O in multiphase and wet gas flows, plus determines the salinity of that water. Breakthrough of injected water in water flood applications can be detected at very low concentrations, and important information about the origin of produced water can be provided.
