Market dynamics and digital enablement are bringing disruption to the industry—fundamentally changing the way oil and gas operators work. "What's Next?" in this new E&P era is the focus of the 2017 SIS Global Forum.
This year's Forum takes place September 13–15, 2017, in Paris, France and brings together an impressive range of thought leaders to share their visions for the future of the industry. It is a unique opportunity to discover how the application of Schlumberger software and solutions will harness the power of data to extend science and expertise into every corner of the E&P lifecycle—delivering optimized production at the lowest cost per barrel.
The biennial event, first held over 20 years ago, showcases the latest in oil and gas software, providing attendees with an opportunity to gain insights from industry leaders as well as exchange knowledge with technical experts and peers. The 2017 event offers more than 140 technical presentations by senior oil and gas executives and technical experts on topics across the entire E&P cycle, from subsurface characterization, well construction, and field development planning through to production operations.
Attendees can experience an immersive and interactive display of the latest technology and solutions and have access to Schlumberger subject matter experts to discuss specific industry challenges.
As part of the Schlumberger ongoing commitment to support academia, the Forum also hosts a university competition. Students from around the world submit abstracts showcasing innovative use or real-world application of Schlumberger software technology. The author of the winning abstract is invited to present at the event.
