As part of the May 27, 2023, global cyberattack, SLB's client file transfer service (which used MOVEit Transfer software) was compromised. We swiftly ceased our use of the MOVEit Transfer application, and, with the help of our third-party incident response partner, our cyber security team began a full investigation into the incident. We have confirmed that the compromise was confined to this client file transfer service, which we have taken out of service. No action is required by our customers.

We determined that a very small number of our customers had been impacted by this unauthorized activity, and all affected parties were promptly notified. All necessary remedial steps have been taken, and we've confirmed that no personal identifiable information (PII) was compromised.
