SLB acquires INT, a global leader in energy data visualization technology

Published: 02/02/2025

SLB has entered into an agreement to purchase the operations of Interactive Network Technologies, Inc. (INT), a global leader in energy data visualization.

INT provides data visualization technology that empowers geoscientists, engineers and data scientists with the desktop and web-based domain data visualization required to make business and operational decisions.

As part of SLB, the INT product offering will continue to expand and help further data access and visualization for energy industry operators, independent software vendors, and oilfield services peers alike.

INT technology currently enables customers to visualize a wide range of energy industry data types, including well, log and seismic interpretations. Incorporating this technology directly into the Delfi™ digital platform and Lumi™ data and AI platform will further enhance the ability of asset teams to accelerate data driven insights via a single, unified interface.

Speaking on the purchase, Trygve Randen, SVP digital products and solutions at SLB, said: “INT is highly regarded by energy professionals as a best-in-class data visualization technology. We are excited about this acquisition, which is another step forward in providing open tools and platform technologies that power cutting-edge analytics and business intelligence for the energy industry.”

This integration will broaden the reach of INT products to a global audience, fostering innovation, and delivering sustained long-term improvements to the INT product portfolio. United with SLB’s platform offerings, these will streamline data-driven workflows and shorten customers’ time to insights.

“In the past 35 years, we have pushed the limits of subsurface data visualization from traditional desktop to the cloud” said Olivier Lhemann, president and founder of INT, Inc. “SLB has been leveraging INT technology for more than 25 years, and we believe that this acquisition is the natural next step in expanding the reach of our technology in the industry. I am truly excited about this next chapter.”

The significant development potential of integration into SLB's wider product ecosystem ensures that INT's current partners and clients will experience uninterrupted business continuity, while benefiting from the enhanced product support and access provided by a leading global energy technology company.
