Nonretrievable Chokes

Proven, reliable choice

Blue ocean waves.
Nonretrievable choke valve.

Cameron’s first nonretrievable subsea choke was installed in 1975, and with more than 800 of these rugged chokes installed to date, they continue to demonstrate that they are a proven, reliable choice.

Permanently mounted to a subsea structure such as a Christmas tree or manifold, our subsea choke body can also be incorporated into a retrievable flow control module or choke bridge, which can house flowmeters and instrumentation devices. To maintain or replace the choke or trim, the flow control module or choke bridge is retrieved. These Cameron chokes are usually fitted with a hydraulic stepping or stand-alone DC electric actuator, but can also be adjusted by an ROV or diver.
