Deployed on the lightweight, H2S- and acid-resistant fiber-optic carrier inside coiled tubing, ACTive Q CT real-time downhole flow measurement service acquires high-quality flow data. The service is deployed with the ACTive DFLO CT real-time flow measurement tool, which comprises two sensor arrays that monitor the fluid’s velocity as it travels around the tool. With the ability to measure pressure, temperature, casing collar locator, and fluid velocity in real time and detect flow direction during stimulation jobs, the ACTive DFLO tool provides valuable data to facilitate decision making and improve the effectiveness of treatment placement. Once ACTive Q service is deployed, the sensors of the ACTive DFLO tool monitor the velocity of fluid flowing in the annulus around the bottomhole assembly. From analysis of the data obtained during the last pumping stage and complementary distributed temperature sensing measurements, Schlumberger and customer representatives can reassess the zonal coverage achieved during the treatment and decide whether to further adjust the stimulation schedule to optimize the treatment outcome.
