As wells age, reservoirs are drained and the pressure decreases, resulting in lower production rates. It becomes crucial to optimize production and enhance recovery. However, intervening on wells has become more and more challenging. We have to work smarter to identify the most suitable intervention techniques and technologies to produce the remaining volumes, minimize costs, and reduce operational risk as well as environmental footprint. Well diagnostics plays a crucial role in this.
In the past, well diagnostics were more manual. But today, real-time, digital well diagnostics—partly by means of autonomous operations—are being used to significantly optimize well intervention. Learn how the Intervention and Stimulation Alliance is using digital and autonomous solutions to improve reservoir performance.
