The Manara production and reservoir management system station identifies and controls the production characteristics of an individual zone. The stations can be run as a single unit or linked in series with up to 60 stations in extended horizontal sections of over 40,000 ft. Produced fluids flow through a screen to the station, where pressure, temperature, flow rate, and water cut are measured. Because the sensor data from all stations reaches the surface in real time via a single electric control line, you can observe zonal fluctuations as they occur, detect breakthrough of water and gas and diagnose their sources, and take corrective action as necessary. Through zonal monitoring and control in a single well or a network of wells that fan out across the reservoir you can maintain a steady balanced flow from single or multiple laterals and also manage the reservoir sweep—even in giant fields.
