MeshRite stainless steel wool screens incorporate a unique patented 3D pore structure with resilient high flow capacity. They have 40% open flow area—whereas other screens typically have a maximum of 30%—and air permeability greater than 3,000 D. The pore structure has high resistance to plugging. MeshRite screens have angular pores ranging in size from 15 to 600 um, which clean fluid flows and remove solids in production while allowing fines smaller than 30 um to pass through. These fines would otherwise get trapped at the sandface-screen interface and cause plugging over time. The net result is that the retained permeability of these screens remains high.
