The methane lidar camera from SLB End-to-end Emissions Solutions (SEES) is a continuous methane gas detector that creates a clear picture identifying the beginning of the methane plume, unambiguously showing the emission source. Using laser imaging, detection, and ranging to quantify methane emission rates, the camera is unlike traditional methane cameras and provides these measurements regardless of temperature, sunlight, and other gases, including water vapor.
