Should damage occur to a casing hanger seal or wellhead spool, the Casing Reconnect system can be used to quickly return integrity to the well. After plugging the well, the casing would be cut below the casing hanger and removed from the well. Once the surface equipment has been removed, the compact spool can be repaired or replaced. A new casing hanger and the Casing Reconnect system can now be installed to return the well to its design condition with robust metal-to-metal connection.
