ThruBit through-the-bit logging services provide a unique conveyance platform for measuring and compensating for anisotropy in horizontal wells—especially in the commonly anisotropic unconventional formations of North America. The idea is to use those measurements to design and engineered completions that position perforation clusters along the horizontal parts of the well so that all of them contribute to the flow. The ThruBit Dipole through-the-bit acoustic service is used to precisely compute completion quality parameters. This service compensates for fast and slow shear, acquires Stoneley for fracture identification, and provides a full 3D mechanical properties log through the lateral section.
