Global reach – Local presence
For over 90 years, SLB’s historical footprint across Angola, Central, and East Africa has been instrumental in our commitment to accelerating decarbonization while delivering affordable and accessible energy in Africa.
Operating in over 10 countries, we work collaboratively with local stakeholders, leveraging the pioneering spirit of our people to produce lower-carbon oil and gas while developing and scaling new energy technologies to accelerate the energy transition.
From the first Delfi deployment in Angola to the first autonomous drilling in the Republic of Congo among others, we are committed to fostering partnerships that drive sustainable growth, foster innovation, and support socio-economic development.
We do this while remaining steadfast in our resolve to be the partner of choice in the region.
At SLB, our commitment to diversity and inclusion is at the core of our people value.
We support many programs to nurture interest in STEM fields among women in collaboration with universities, non-profit organizations and other stakeholders.
Our commitment to sustainability is embedded in everything we do. Our objective is to implement and monitor projects that successfully fulfil SLB’s commitment to our sustainability framework around people, nature and climate action, and to make an impactful contribution towards the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We have selected 5 priority SDGs in the region where we can have a positive impact on both people and businesses:
At SLB we are committed to providing safe and sustainable water systems.
To answer the water scarcity needs the water stewardship projects in Congo, Uganda and Namibia were selected to provide safe and sustainable water systems to the communities where we operate.
