Extend the lifetime of wireline cable and improve efficiency during acid spearheading operations
Wireline-compatible spearhead acid for hydraulic fracturing in unconventional reservoirs completed with pumpdown perforating
With conventional techniques, wireline cables can break prematurely because of cable armor corrosion. With CableShield acid, the wireline remains intact significantly longer, which enables operators to perform an average of four additional stages of hydraulic fracturing each day on the pad—a 20% to 25% increase in time efficiency that leads to a reduction in operating costs. Additionally, CableShield acid saves approximately 12,500 bbl fluid per well (based on a 2-mi lateral well) compared with conventional spearhead acid. The acid decreases perforation cluster breakdown pressure and eliminates excessive water volumes.
