In partnership with Seitel, we have reimaged more than 25,000 km of 2D seismic data from the data library of the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH). Three key areas included in the 2D reimaging project for the upcoming 3.2 and 3.3 bid rounds include the Sureste, Veracruz, and Burgos Basins.

The Sureste and Veracruz Basins are expected to contain conventional light oil plays.
The Burgos Basin encompasses unconventional prospects with geologic similarities to the prolific Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas.

Our workflow for the reimaged 2D data employs the latest refraction statics and signal processing solutions. This has significantly improved signal-to-noise ratio and produced superior imaging of main targets, enabling the first consistent regional seismic images throughout the large onshore areas.

Creation of a new statics model using our latest refraction statics enables exploration companies to better understand the potential of the Sureste Basin, including the profile of the regional structure and identification of potential traps.
