PEMEX Achieves Maximum ROP in Tough Cretaceous Formation, Saves 168 Drilling Hours - Kinetic bit and Neyrfor turbodrilling system complete a 287-m interval in one run in a high-compressive-strength HT formation, saving 3 trips, Mexico
PEMEX used a Kinetic bit and Neyrfor turbodrilling system to drill a 287-m directional interval through three formations in 94 h at an average ROP of 3 m/h in a single constant run.

背景

When drilling through three different high-compressive- strength, high-temperature Cretaceous formations composed of 30% flint, PEMEX used the Neyrfor turbodrilling system and a Kinetic diamond-impregnated bit for directional efficiency, reducing shock and vibrations to achieve drilling goals. The operator completed the interval in one run and saved 3 trips.
