In the past 18 months, Schlumberger drilled 18 superlateral wells, averaging 18,537 ft in horizontal length. The PowerDrive Orbit RSS and a bit certified for directional drilling minimized wellbore tortuosity and maintained trajectory within the target zone. Drilling performance resulted in a state and US land drilling records. At 20,632 ft, Well 10 set records for the longest lateral and longest single-run lateral. Another well earned the longest total well depth at 30,493 ft. On-bottom ROP during the campaign averaged 171 ft/h.
