Ray-based prestack depth migration for orthorhombic media. We demonstrate the capability of our algorithm for orthorhombic anisotropy using synthetic and real data examples from the Gulf of Mexico. Our results show that incorporation of higher order anisotropy under certain geology improves migration of wide azimuth (WAZ) acquisition data, and produces focused migration images to be used in exploration, production and development of oil fields.
