Low-emissions certified portfolio
All our valves for CO2 service have been fugitive emissions certified (FE certified) using methane (CH4) or helium to prove their sealing capabilities, based on current certification protocols.
Prequalification of seals
CO2 is challenging for seal materials because of swelling, rapid gas decompression damage, and the impact of low temperatures on elasticity. We have prequalified multiple seal materials to several applicable standards for different service conditions to ensure performance.
Trim selection
Depending on the level of contaminates, CO2 can range from noncorrosive to extremely corrosive. Moreover, blowdown of CO2 can result in very low temperatures, which affect the characteristics of materials.
